Miniatures is a series of photos that essentially mimics some of the most popular photography of Gregory Crewdson, Jeff Wall, Andreas Gursky, and Thomas Struth, recreating the scenes on a smaller scale. It adds a layer to the question of reality by removing the realistic aspect but still implying a relationship with the original photograph. By diminishing the scale of the photographs that are originally shot on grand scales with great budgets and reprinted at massive proportions, these photos sort of poke at the necessity of such extravagance and at the same time inspire questions of originality in art.
